(March 17, 2011) — For fans seeking autographs from the stars and producers of The Vampire Diaries (Thursdays 8/7c The CW) and Chuck (Mondays 8/7c NBC) at this weekend’s C2E2 2011, the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, please see below for important information regarding the ticketed signings. Free tickets for signings will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday, March 19.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES SIGNING

  • The Vampire Diaries stars Michael Trevino (“Tyler Lockwood”) and Candice Accola (“Caroline Forbes”) and executive producer Julie Plec are scheduled to sign Saturday, March 19, from 3:00–3:45pm in Room 178A.
  • Important note about ticketed signing: Tickets for The Vampire Diaries autograph signing are free, and will be distributed to the first 100 fans beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 at Room 178A.

CHUCK CAST SIGNING

(March 2, 2011) — Chicago will soon play host to The Vampire Diaries (Thursdays 8/7c The CW) and Chuck (Mondays 8/7c NBC), as stars and creators from the series are set to visit the Windy City on Saturday, March 19, for C2E2 2011, the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, marking the first appearance by each show at the convention.

To celebrate the passionate fan followings for both Chuck and The Vampire Diaries, “fan-favorite” cast members from both shows will attend C2E2 2011. Selected stars and producers will be on-hand for panel sessions, media appearances and autograph signings at Chicago’s signature pop culture event:

Inception Wins Big At The Oscars!

Wonder Woman Casting Announcement

Adrianne Palicki (“Friday Night Lights,” “Red Dawn”) will star in the title role of “Wonder Woman,” a new series pilot from David E. Kelley (“Boston Legal,” “Ally McBeal,” NBC’s “Harry’s Law”).

The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman – a/k/a Diana Prince – is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life. Kelley and Bill D’Elia (“Boston Legal,” “The Practice”) are the executive producers. The pilot was written by Kelley and will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (NBC’s “The Event”).  “Wonder Woman” is from David E Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

Palicki, who appeared as Tyra Collete in NBC’s acclaimed “Friday Night Lights,” will star in the upcoming feature-film remake of “Red Dawn.”  She also starred in the horror film “Breaking the Girl” and in the recent series “Lone Star.”

Warner Bros. received 12 Academy Award nominations for 2011. Christopher Nolan’s Inception led the way with eight nominations, including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Cinematography. Other Warner Bros. films to garner nominations include The Town, which received a Best Supporting Actor nod for Jeremy Renner’s compelling portrayal of an out-of-control bank robber, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One, which received two nominations, for Visual Effects and Art Direction, and Hereafter, which received a Visual Effects nomination. The Academy Awards will be broadcast on ABC on Sunday, February 27.
