Official Warner Bros. Comic-Con 2011 Twitter Giveaway Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Warner Bros. Comic-Con 2011 Giveaway on Twitter (the “Giveaway”) is open to individuals who are at least 13 years of age or older on the date of entry, who are legal residents of any one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia (collectively the “U.S.”), and who reside and are physically domiciled in the U.S.  Residents of Guam, Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories and possessions as well as employees of foreign-based U.S. military bases and embassies are not eligible to enter this Giveaway. 1391 Productions Inc. (dba as www.theWB.com) is the sponsor of the Giveaway (collectively, the “Sponsor” unless otherwise indicated) and Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Group is the administrator of the Giveaway (“Administrator”).  Employees of 1391 Productions Inc., Sponsor, Administrator, Time Warner, Inc., Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc., their respective parent companies, subsidiaries or advertising and Giveaway agencies associated with the Giveaway or prize suppliers for the Giveaway, or their respective employees, directors and officers (“Giveaway Parties”) and the immediate family members of each (regardless of where those immediate family members live) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not) are not eligible to enter this Giveaway. By entering this Giveaway, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects and cannot be challenged or appealed.

How to Enter: There will be multiple Giveaways held from July 20, 2011 through July 24, 2011.  During each Giveaway, there is one Way to Enter: You must be a subscriber of TheWB.com’s tweets, which are sent from TheWB.com’s Twitter account located on the Twitter web site under the name “TheWBdotcom”.  If you are not a subscriber, you may become one by visiting the Twitter Web Site and following the directions provided to subscribe.  TheWB.com’s feed is found at www.twitter.com/TheWBdotcom.  Subscription is free and you may unsubscribe on Twitter at anytime.  Once you are a subscriber, between July 20 – 24, 2011, you will receive tweets from the TheWB.com designated as “Comic-Con Giveaway” tweets.  These tweets will contain instructions on retweeting it and will specify the numerical order that must be associated with the winning retweet (i.e., the 50th retweet received by TheWB.com will be the winning retweet or every 20th retweet will be the winning retweet).  The giveaway period will vary depending on how quickly a retweet is received by TheWB.com in the order specified in the TheWB.com’s initial tweet (the “Giveaway Period”).  Each Giveaway will run continuously until the winning retweet/s have been received.  Standard text messaging rates apply for any text messages sent and received. Please check your carrier for pricing plan details and text messaging capabilities.  Limit one (1) entry per Twitter account, regardless of device used to enter (computer, wireless device).  Entries received in excess of the stated daily limitation from the same twitter account (regardless of device used to send the tweet) will be void. TheWB.com reserves the right to accept entries with slight variations from the information solicited.  All entries must be received by the specified deadline to be eligible for the Prize.  The Sponsor’s Twitter feed will serve as the official time piece for the Giveaway.

Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process will be void.  All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Sponsor will not deem proof of submission of an entry as proof of receipt of an entry.

WINNER SELECTION / ODDS:

The winning tweets will be the ones received in the numerical order specified by TheWB.com’s “Comic-Con Giveaway” tweets during each Giveaway Period.  If the account holder sending the winning retweet otherwise meets the Giveaway’s eligibility criteria, you could be eligible to win a prize (subject to Sponsor’s verification process). If a potential prizewinner is found ineligible or fails to comply with these Official Rules, that individual’s claim to a prize is forfeited and the account holder for the tweet next in order will be contacted. Odds of winning depend on, among other things, the total number of eligible entries received.

All prizes legitimately claimed will be awarded.

In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the Twitter account used to subscribe to TheWB.com’s tweets.  An “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person associated with the twitter account.

Total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of all prizes in each Giveaway is less than $100.00.  For any particular Giveaway the prizes will be one or more of the following possible items:

The number of items to be awarded in any given Prize Package will be determined by Sponsor.  Participants may win more than one prize package if such participant wins more than one Giveaway.

No credit or cash will be given for any unused portion of the prize.

Refusal or return of any prize as undeliverable will also result in disqualification and an alternate entry will be randomly drawn.

PRIZE WINNERS NOTIFICATION PROCESS:

Within twenty-four (24) hours of the conclusion of each Giveaway Period, TheWB.com will list the winners’ names in a blog entry on TheWB.com/blog. TheWB.com will send out a tweet asking all of its followers to visit TheWB.com/blog to see if they have won. The blog entry will contain information about how to submit the contact information necessary for them to collect their Prize.  If a prizewinner does not accept the Prize Package via reply e-mail within forty-eight (48) hours following the date and time the notification is sent, then that winner will be disqualified and the tweet next in order received during that Giveaway Period will be notified as set forth herein.

At its sole discretion, the Sponsor may require the winner to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and Publicity Release (collectively, “Affidavit/Release”).  If required, Affidavit/Release will be sent along with notification of winning and must be returned to the Sponsor within forty-eight (48) hours. A disqualification will result if the Affidavit/Release is not returned to the Sponsor within the specified time.

Refusal or return of any prize notification, Affidavit/Release or prize as undeliverable will result in disqualification.

If a prizewinner is under the age of majority in their State of residence, the daily prize will be awarded in the name of that winner’s parent or legal guardian.

ADDITIONAL PRIZE INFORMATION:

There is no substitution for any Prize Package or any portion thereof, except due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value may be awarded at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  Prizes are not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Each prize will be shipped to the respective prizewinner within four to six weeks of notice to the prizewinner.

Prizewinners are solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any and all federal, state and local taxes as well as any other costs and expenses associated with acceptance and use of any prize awarded in the Giveaway.  Prizewinners may be issued an IRS form 1099 based on the ARV of each prize awarded.

All participants, as a condition of entry, agree that they have not purchased any kind of Internet service whatsoever in order to participate in and/or enter the Giveaway. Participants agree not to knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Giveaway and/or prevent others from utilizing the Giveaway. (July 15, 2011) — TV’s #1 comedy — and newly minted Emmy® nominee for Outstanding Comedy Series — The Big Bang Theory (Thursdays 8/7c on CBS, premiering September 22) and multi-platinum pop rock group the BARENAKED LADIES have teamed up on a special music video for the band’s full-length version of the hit series’ theme song. The video was shot on The Big Bang Theory set and gives fans an exclusive insider’s look at the hit sitcom, via never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of the show’s table read, rehearsals and episode taping in front of a live studio audience. The band was joined in the video by the stars of the award-winning show: Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar.

  • The collaboration on the music video continues the longstanding relationship between the band and the series that was established in 2007 when The Big Bang Theory creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady — who are fans of the band — asked Barenaked Ladies’ singer/guitarist Ed Robertson to pen a theme song for the series as a “sort of history of everything … in about 32 seconds.”
  • The band later made a surprise appearance at The Big Bang Theory’s panel session at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2010, performing the song, complete with an audience sing-along.
  • Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution will feature the video in its campaign to support the off-network launch of The Big Bang Theory in syndication this fall. The Big Bang Theory debuts in syndication September 19, simultaneously on TBS, the Fox Television Stations and broadcast stations across the country, and will air five nights a week.
  • The music video and a special featurette, complete with interviews with the band, will be available on The Big Bang Theory: The Complete Fourth Season Blu-ray™ and DVD release on September 13
  • The audio recording will also be featured on the band’s upcoming greatest hits package STOP US IF YOU’VE HEARD THIS ONE BEFORE. The magazine and WBTV are again teaming up to create a TV Guide Magazine Comic-Con special issue devoted solely to programming from WBTV and the Studio, and the four fan-favorite series listed above will appear on four different collectible covers.

WARNER BROS. TO FOLLOW COMIC-CON AUTOGRAPH TICKET SYSTEM

BURBANK, Calif. (July 8, 2011) — Comic-Con and Warner Bros. Entertainment are announcing today that Warner Bros. will follow the official Comic-Con International: San Diego ticket distribution system for autograph signings at this year’s event.

As in years past, all signings will be held at the Warner Bros. booth, which is #4545 on the Comic-Con show floor.  But under the long-standing Comic-Con system, Warner Bros. will distribute wristbands for signings via daily ticket drawings held at Sails Pavilion #9 inside the San Diego Convention Center.

“Safety is always our main concern with signings or events, so it is Comic-Con policy that access is regulated by a drawing for a chance to win — giving all attendees an equal opportunity to enter,” said David Glanzer, director of marketing and public relations for Comic-Con International.  “We are happy that Warner Bros. has agreed to utilize this system and thank them for once again offering such unique opportunities to our attendees this year, as well as their continued support of Comic-Con.”

Fans interested in attending signings at the Warner Bros. booth should review the schedule listed below, then plan to visit the Sails Pavilion at the time of each drawing.  All fans present at the appointed time will receive numbered tickets that feature a distinct sticker. Then a randomized drawing will determine which fans receive wristbands granting access to each autograph line.

The Studio has once again created a set of limited-edition collectible hotel keycards, which will be in use at top hotels throughout the San Diego area during the ’Con. This marks the fourth consecutive year for the popular room key program.

Nearly 40,000 branded room keys will be available to fans at 36 participating hotels, courtesy of Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing.

For Comic-Con 2011, Warner Bros. has created all-new keycards for five of the Studio’s series, video games and home entertainment releases, including:

  • Mortal Kombat: Legacy: This original live-action new media series from Warner Premiere and Warner Bros.
