Happy Holidays From The Middle!

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Picture 10

We’ve gotten to know The Middle‘s Heck family pretty well this year. We’re familiar with the quirky kids – Axl’s (Charlie McDermott) got a knack for walking around in his underwear, Brick (Atticus Shaffer) whispers to himself in an odd voice and Sue (Eden Sher) has mastered the art of failing…at everything!

But most endearingly, we’ve witnessed how their parents, Frankie (Patricia Heaton) and Mike (Neil Flynn), make sacrifices – sometimes of their own sanity – to guarantee that their family has a lifetime supply of love with Midwestern charm.

On behalf of her brood, Frankie sends us this warm (and frank) Holiday video card that’s full of the wit and dry humor that we’ve come to expect from the supermom.

New episodes of The Middle return to ABC on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 8:00/7:00c. Until then, you can still get cozy with the Hecks on Wednesday, Dec. 23 and Thursday, Dec. 24 at 8:30/7:30c!

Summer Girls On TheWB.com

Friday, June 26th, 2009

Whether you’re looking for a gal pal who knows her gossip or an assertive female figure to look out for you during the next few months, TheWB.com’s bringing you two enchanting girls named Summer who are just as refreshing as the season after which they’re dubbed.

Summer Glau summerterminator2
Why she’s a catch: On Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Summer Glau plays Cameron – a Terminator assigned to protect the future leader of the human resistance. She’s a robot, but her human-mimicking capabilities make her appear warmer than many a homo sapien! Oh yeah, and to further amp up her cool factor, Summer’s Firefly character River Tam knows how to make her way around a spaceship.

Moment in the sun:
In TSCC‘s “Gnothi Seauton”, she exhibits a striking combination of fortitude and compassion by admonishing a family of humans to “Remain calm”…before removing her face from the windshield of their car.

Summer Roberts
summerocWhy she’s a catch: The O.C.’s Summer Roberts is played by the ever-alluring Rachel Bilson. Even though Summer’s quip-filled relationship with Seth Cohen plays more like a handy tennis match than a fairy tale romance, she expects to be treated as a princess. High maintenance? Sure. Worth the drama? Well, Seth did name his boat – the Summer Breeze – after her!

Moment in the sun: In The O.C.’s “The Rainy Day Women”, she manages to make a lemon meringue bride’s maid dress look kinda chic. And that takes a whole lotta charisma!

In a single shared moment, the visitors appear in every major city in the world, promoting a message of peace. They want to share their knowledge of technology and their view that we should all be one, not divided by country, not divided by fear. They want us to unite. And to do so, they are counting on a very important component of human nature: devotion.

ABC Picks Up "The Middle"

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

Check out the new Warner Bros. show, THE MIDDLE, premiering this fall on ABC.

Patricia Heaton as Frankie Heck.

Patricia Heaton as Frankie Heck.

Frankie Heck is a superhero. Well, no, not an actual superhero – but sometimes it seems to Frankie as though getting her kids out the door for school every morning is a super heroic act. Middle aged, middle class and living in the middle of the country.
