Warner Bros. Television Returns to San Francisco with Human Target and
V Panels and Exclusive Advance Screening of Nikita

ThunderCon, Ho! Warner Bros. Animation Holds First-Ever
Panel for New Animated Series Thundercats

BURBANK, Calif. (March 28, 2011) — Warner Bros. Television (WBTV) is returning to the City by the Bay to help WonderCon celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2011, with an exclusive advance screening of Nikita (Thursdays 9/8c The CW) on Friday, April 1, and panel sessions on Sunday, April 3, for Human Target and V. And Warner Bros. Animation is roaring into San Francisco on Sunday, turning WonderCon into ThunderCon! with the first-ever fan convention panel for the new animated series ThunderCats (coming soon to Cartoon Network), featuring a sneak peek at new footage.

Stars and producers scheduled to attend the 25th annual WonderCon include:

  • Human Target stars Mark Valley and Janet Montgomery, along with executive producer Matthew Miller
  • V star Elizabeth Mitchell; guest star Marc Singer (The Beastmaster), who also starred in the original 1980s version of V; and V executive producer Scott Rosenbaum
  • ThunderCats producers Michael Jelenic and Ethan Spaulding, art director Dan Norton, and Larry Kenney, the voice of Claudus in the new show and the original voice of Lion-O in the 1980s series

Additionally, WBTV will once again present a special advance screening exclusively for WonderCon audiences, debuting the “Covenants” episode of Nikita a week before its broadcast on Thursday, April 7 (9/8c on The CW).

FRIDAY, APRIL 1

  • 4:00–5:00 p.m. • Exclusive Nikita Screening, Presented by Warner Bros. Television: For the second year, Warner Bros. Television will kick off WonderCon with an exclusive preview screening of an upcoming original series episode. For 2011, WBTV will be premiering the “Covenants” episode of Nikita, which will be broadcast Thursday, April 7, at 9/8c on The CW. At the conclusion of the last episode, fans were left breathless at the final image of Michael confronting Nikita in her lair after discovering Alex as the mole inside Division, and WonderCon attendees will be the first to find out what happens next. From Wonderland Sound and Vision in association with Warner Bros. Television, Nikita airs Thursdays 9/8c on The CW and stars Maggie Q (Mission: Impossible III), Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass), Shane West (ER), Aaron Stanford (X2: X-Men United), Tiffany Hines (Beyond the Break), with Melinda Clarke (The O.C.) and Xander Berkeley (24). SUNDAY, APRIL 3

  • 12:30–1:15 p.m. • Human Target Signing at the DC Comics Booth #301
  • 1:00–1:45 p.m. • It’s ThunderCon! ThunderCats Special Video Presentation and Cast/Producer Q&A — ThunderCats Ho! The cats will be loose on Sunday as WonderCon hosts the first-ever panel for this all-new animated series produced by Warner Bros. Animation, coming soon to Cartoon Network. Based upon the iconic 1980s action classic, ThunderCats is the epic tale of Lion-O and his battle against evil in the quest for the fabled Stones of Power. Fans will feel the magic and hear the roar as the creative team unveils their vision for the show, debuts exclusive footage and answers questions about one of the most highly anticipated animated series of the year. Producers Michael Jelenic (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Ethan Spaulding (Avatar: The Last Airbender) are scheduled to attend, along with art director Dan Norton and Larry Kenney, who provides the voice of Claudus in the new ThunderCats and was the original Lion-O in the 1980s version.   • 1:45–2:30 p.m. • Human Target Special Video Presentation and Cast/Producer Q&A Human Target returns to WonderCon, with series stars Mark Valley (Fringe) and Janet Montgomery (Entourage) joining executive producer Matthew Miller (Chuck) for a look back at the recently concluded second season of this fan-favorite series. The Human Target team will deliver a special video presentation prepared exclusively for WonderCon, will talk about their vision for the future of Christopher Chance and his team, and will answer fan questions in a Q&A session.
