BURBANK, Calif. (June 29, 2010) – Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) is returning to Comic-Con International: San Diego in unprecedented fashion in 2010. A star-studded lineup of performers, producers and other members of the creative teams of a record 14 series from Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Television and Warner Bros. Animation will be on-hand for panel sessions, screenings, media appearances and autograph signings. This will mark the largest contingent of talent from WBTVG ever assembled for the world’s leading pop culture convention. (In 2009, WBTVG featured 12 television series at Comic-Con.)

THE BOOTH

Warner Bros. Entertainment (WBE) will once again have a can’t-miss, nearly 3,000-square-foot booth on the convention floor, this time in a brand-new location: space #4545. As usual, the booth will host autograph signings by the stars and creative teams of all WBTVG shows, with multiple interactive kiosks for fans to play video games from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and much, much more. Additional details about the booth will be released in the coming weeks.

(June 15, 2010) – Things heat up on TheWB.com this summer with the June 15 premiere of four new original series: “High Drama 2: Against All Oz,” “Chadam,” “Exposed” and “Downers Grove.” From real-life drama and cutting-edge animation to a modern thriller and off-beat comedy, TheWB.com has fans covered with a hot programming selection.  Offerings include new series from producer/director McG (“Terminator Salvation,” “Supernatural”) and Jace Hall (“V”), among others.

  • High Drama 2: Against All Oz: Viewers can get their docudrama TV fix by going behind the scenes with the students of Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Penn., as they prepare for the opening night musical production of The Wizard of Oz.  The series features real characters, real drama and no scripts.  Episodes 1–5 launch Tuesday, June 15, with the remaining episodes 6–10 on Tuesday, June 22.
  • Chadam: Animation and machinima fans will enjoy “Chadam,” an action-horror-adventure story from cutting-edge artist Alex Pardee and producer Jace Hall, created using the Unreal Engine 3, the gaming technology behind hit the videogame titles “Gears of War” and “BioShock.”  A resident of Cardboard City, Chadam must learn to use his hidden powers to free the city’s residents from the violent zombie-like pallid.  Episodes 1–5 premiere Tuesday, June 15, with the remaining episodes 6–10 launching Tuesday, June 22.
  • Exposed: This cerebral thriller takes viewers into the world of Henry Dye, a college student with a dark past.  Menacing text messages and paranoia threaten to destroy Henry as he searches for the extortive source, all while attempting to maintain a normal existence to his fiancée and family.  Episodes 1–8 launch Tuesday, June 15, with the remaining episodes 9–16 debuting Tuesday, June 22.
  • Downers Grove: Fans of off-beat buddy comedies should definitely visit “Downers Grove,” which is not only a suburb of Chicago, but also a state of mind.  Follow four friends and their misadventures as they hang out, drink and stave off the boredom of life in the ’burbs.  Episodes 1–5 will go live Tuesday, June 15, with the remaining episodes 6–9 launching Tuesday, June 22.

High Drama 2: Against All Oz” gives viewers an exclusive backstage pass to The Freedom High School Theater Company’s production of The Wizard of Oz.  Viewers will get a look behind the curtain as casting pits friend against friend, students with Broadway stars in their eyes try to move beyond the confines of the high school stage, and the pressures of a sold-out show threaten to bring the cast and crew crashing back to Earth.  “High Drama 2: Against All Oz” features real characters, real drama and no scripts. From Bombo Sports & Entertainment in association with Studio 2.0, “High Drama 2: Against All Oz” is executive produced by Bombo’s Steven Bram, Paul Doyle, Jr. and Bob Potter, and Studio 2.0’s Rich Rosenthal.

Chadam” is an action-horror-adventure story which follows its self-titled hero as he develops his power of imagination to physically change his environment and, ultimately, his world.  Chadam must learn to harnesses his power of imagination after he’s called upon to save the residents of Cardboard City from the maniacal serial killer, Viceroy, and the zombie-like pallid who have taken over the city. The character Chadam was originally created by cutting-edge artist Alex Pardee for the band The Used.  In this installment, “Chadam” is realized in full 3D animation via the power of the Unreal Engine 3, the same gaming engine used in popular videogame titles such as “Gears of War” and “BioShock,” for the Xbox, Playstation 3 and PC platforms.  From HD Films in association with Studio 2.0, “Chadam” is executive produced by Jace Hall.

In “Exposed,” handsome, brooding Henry Dye seems like any other Ivy League pre-med student to his friends and acquaintances.  But when Henry starts receiving a series of cryptic, untraceable cell phone texts ordering him to carry out increasingly perilous tasks, he is forced to comply – with the threat of exposing his shocking past and true identity if he fails.  “Exposed” is executive produced by McG and co-executive produced by Blake Calhoun and Mike Maden.  The series is from Wonderland Sound and Vision, Alternative Fuel LLC in association with Studio 2.0.

Downers Grove follows Alden, Brett, Pudge and Jodi, four friends in their early 20s who never grew up. When everyone their age went away to college, they stayed in the suburbs, always on the prowl for the next party and never far from disturbing the peace. In Downers Grove, you can never go home again. So they never left.  From Sorry, Dad Productions and Mr. Nice, in association with Studio 2.0, “Downers Grove” was created by Justin Becker, Michael Blaiklock, David Horwitz and Elisha Yaffe.  The executive producers are Anne Kenny and Eric Wilker.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

TheWB.com’s “The Big Bang Theory” Giveaway on Twitter (the “Giveaway”) is open to individuals who are at least 13 years of age or older on the date of entry, who are legal residents of any one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia (collectively the “U.S.”), and who reside and are physically domiciled in the U.S.  Residents of Guam, Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories and possessions as well as employees of foreign-based U.S. military bases and embassies are not eligible to enter this Giveaway. 1391 Productions Inc. (dba as www.theWB.com) is the sponsor of the Giveaway (collectively, the “Sponsor” unless otherwise indicated) and Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Group is the administrator of the Giveaway (“Administrator”).  Employees of 1391 Productions Inc., Sponsor, Administrator, Time Warner, Inc., Warner Bros. How to Enter: There will be five (5) discrete Giveaways, one each day from June 7, 2010 through June 11, 2010.  Each day’s Giveaway will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) (the “Giveaway Period”).  Each Giveaway will run continuously during that time.  During the Giveaway Period, there is one Way to Enter: You must be a subscriber of TheWB.com’s tweets, which are sent from TheWB.com’s Twitter account located on the Twitter web site under the name “TheWBdotcom”.  If you are not a subscriber, you may become one by visiting the Twitter Web Site and following the directions provided to subscribe.  TheWB.com’s feed is found at www.twitter.com/TheWBdotcom.  Subscription is free and you may unsubscribe on Twitter at anytime.  Once you are a subscriber, you will receive a tweet from the TheWB.com (close to the start of the applicable Giveaway Period) asking for specific information about a variety of content on TheWB.com.  You will use your twitter account to retweet a tweet designated by TheWB.com as “The Big Bang Theory” tweet of the day which will include instructions to retweet it.  The twitter account holder to send the 50th retweet in each Giveaway Period will be selected as the winner of that Giveaway Period.  Standard text messaging rates apply for any text messages sent and received. Please check your carrier for pricing plan details and text messaging capabilities.  Limit one (1) entry per twitter account, regardless of device used to enter (computer, wireless device).  Entries received in excess of the stated daily limitation from the same twitter account (regardless of device used to send the tweet) will be void. TheWB.com reserves the right to accept entries with slight variations from the information solicited.  All entries must be received by the specified deadline to be eligible for the Prize.  The Sponsor’s Twitter feed will serve as the official time piece for the Giveaway.

Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process will be void.  All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Sponsor will not deem proof of submission of an entry as proof of receipt of an entry.

WINNER SELECTION / ODDS:

The winning tweet will be the 50th one received during each Giveaway Period.  If the account holder sending the winning retweet otherwise meets the Giveaway’s eligibility criteria, you could be eligible to win a prize (subject to Sponsor’s verification process). If a potential prizewinner is found ineligible or fails to comply with these Official Rules, that individual’s claim to a prize is forfeited and the account holder for the tweet next in order will be contacted. Odds of winning depend on, among other things, the total number of eligible entries received.

All prizes legitimately claimed will be awarded.
In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the Twitter account used to subscribe to TheWB.com’s tweets.  An “authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person associated with the twitter account.

PRIZES:

Total approximate retail value (“ARV”) of all prizes in this Giveaway is less than $5000.00.

A maximum of five (5) prize packages will be awarded. Each prize package consists of one of the following:

One Prize Package will be awarded to one (1) winner per Giveaway Period.  The number of items to be awarded in any given Prize Package will be determined by Sponsor.  Giveaway participants are eligible to win more than one prize package if such participant wins more than one Giveaway Period.

No credit or cash will be given for any unused portion of the prize.

Refusal or return of any prize as undeliverable will also result in disqualification and an alternate entry will be randomly drawn.

PRIZE WINNERS NOTIFICATION PROCESS:

Within seventy-two (72) hours of the conclusion of each Giveaway Period, TheWB.com will reply to the winner’s tweet with instructions for how to submit the contact information necessary to collecting the Prize Package.  If a prizewinner does not accept the Prize Package via reply e-mail within forty-eight (48) hours following the date and time the notification is sent, then that winner will be disqualified and the tweet next in order received during that Giveaway Period will be notified as set forth herein.

At its sole discretion, the Sponsor may require the winner to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and Publicity Release (collectively, “Affidavit/Release”).  If required, Affidavit/Release will be sent along with notification of winning and must be returned to the Sponsor within forty-eight (48) hours. A disqualification will result if the Affidavit/Release is not returned to the Sponsor within the specified time.

Refusal or return of any prize notification, Affidavit/Release or prize as undeliverable will result in disqualification.

If a prizewinner is under the age of majority in their State of residence, the daily prize will be awarded in the name of that winner’s parent or legal guardian.

ADDITIONAL PRIZE INFORMATION:

There is no substitution for any Prize Package or any portion thereof, except due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value may be awarded at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  Prizes are not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Each prize will be shipped to the respective prizewinner within four to six weeks of notice to the prizewinner.

Prizewinners are solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any and all federal, state and local taxes as well as any other costs and expenses associated with acceptance and use of any prize awarded in the Giveaway.  Prizewinners may be issued an IRS form 1099 based on the ARV of each prize awarded.

RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION:

As used herein, an event of force majeure shall be deemed to include, without limitation, an act of God; an act of terrorism, war, riot or civil commotion, fire, casualties, equipment failure, boycott; labor dispute, strike or stoppage (including a strike by the members of any union), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, an act, regulation, order or request of or by any federal, state or local authority or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the act, regulation, order or request proves to be invalid); or any other similar or dissimilar act beyond the Sponsor’s control.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:

All participants, as a condition of entry, agree that they have not purchased any kind of Internet service whatsoever in order to participate in and/or enter the Giveaway. Participants agree not to knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Giveaway and/or prevent others from utilizing the Giveaway. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DAMAGE ANY ONLINE OR CELLULAR SERVICE OR WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GIVEAWAY OR CAMPAIGN VIOLATES CRIMINAL OR CIVIL LAWS.

IF SUCH AN ATTEMPT IS MADE, SPONSOR AND/OR ADMINISTERING AGENCY MAY, AT THEIR SOLE AND REASONABLE DISCRETION, DISQUALIFY ANY PARTICIPANTS MAKING SUCH ATTEMPT AND SPONSOR MAY SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE:

The parties agree that the Giveaway and these Official Rules will be governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction) which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California. Each participant and their parent/legal guardian agree (i) that any or all lawsuits brought by participants or their parents or legal guardians pursuant to these Official Rules or the Giveaway will be brought in the courts located in Los Angeles, California and (ii) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Giveaway or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.  Entrants hereby waive any and all objections to personal jurisdiction.  Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred including, without limitation, costs associated with entering this Giveaway but in no event attorneys’ fees.  Under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
