V: The Series is back!

vtheseriesblog1

It’s that time of year again in sunny San Diego! The sun’s shining brightly and air is dry and all your favorites in the world of SciFi, comics, games, television and movies are all in one place! Yes, that’s right, it’s Comic-Con.

Check out the schedule for Warner Bros. at Comic-Con here at www.thewb.com/comiccon, and keep your eyes out for the launch of ABC’s V: The Series starring Scott Wolf.  But if you can’t wait until the Fall, re- live the original here.

Not familiar with V? Well here’s a crash course. Aliens come to Earth with what seems like a great deal: chemical and minerals in exchange for sharing advance technology with humans. Great deal huh? That is until you scratch the surface, in this case literally, for underneath that fabulous 80′s glow lies a reptilian creature who swallows rodents whole and … oh, you have to see it with your own eyes on V: The Series on TheWB and watch for the remake this Fall on ABC.

TheWB.com's Heroes Keep The Earth In Check

Friday, July 10th, 2009

As upright citizens, we know that we can help to preserve our environment by recycling and cutting back on fuel usage. But some of the individuals who dwell on TheWB.com have the capacity (and responsibility) to save our planet by using more extreme tactics. So, right now, let’s recognize a few of the outstanding personalities who use their special abilities to guarantee us a flourishing future here on Earth.

smallville_22

- Clark Kent (Smallville) – He hasn’t adopted his signature tights and cape yet, but that hasn’t deterred young Clark from outrunning  and outlifting Smallville and Metropolis’ shifty villains. When you consider the fact that Earth isn’t even his native planet, you’ve gotta give the guy respect for risking his life to rescue our planet.

terminator1

- Cameron (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) – With Cameron in place as John Connor’s guardian, the odds are pretty good that the leader of the rebellion against Skynet will survive. For mankind’s sake, let’s hope so! While most humans would flee from  such an assignment, Cameron proves that you should never trust a man to do a cyborg’s job.

chuck_07

- Chuck (Chuck) – Chuck’s customers and coworkers at Buy More are oblivious to the fact that his brain is the house of confidential and dangerous government information – he embodies the notion that knowledge is power. Having lost his ho-hum civilian life, the potential safety of the world now relies on this man’s survival – imploring legions of fans to cry out, “Viva la Chuck!”
